We choose the names for our elephants from those elephants that were already rescued in Africa. In 2019 Goebel will support the organization "Rettet die Elefanten Afrikas e.V." (Save Africa's Elephants) by "adopting" another three orphan elephants.

The elephant is understood as a positive symbol of representing wisdom and self resting strength. His character embodies reliable carrying capacity and intelligence. The names of our elephants stand for the necessary commitment to preserve this beautiful species. We chose the names of elephants that have already been rescued in Africa. Inspiration for our decors is to be found in the beauty of nature as well as from the traditional Indian elephant painting.

Since 2017 Goebel Porzellan has been supporting the organization "Rettet die Elefanten Afrikas e.V." (Save Africa's Elephants). We want to help to protect this threatened species.

The donations are spent to help survive young orphan elephants with food, blankets, wildlife keepers, medial care for the animals etc. Part of the money is used for the protection of wild elephant herds, where the orphans will hopefully be re-integrated.

By supporting the elephants we would like to encourage also other people to join the support for the life of young orphant elephants.

Our latest sponsorships in 2019 are for Mapia, Sagala and Tahri, Aren't they beautiful?
