Since 1990 Goebel has been supporting an association that is engaged in the preservation of our birds’ world: The “ Landesbund für Vogelschutz in Bayern e.V.” (Bavarian Society for Bird Protection) in Hilpoltstein. Every year one bird that is especially worth protecting is selected as “Bird of the Year”. This important program has become a firm institution in the meantime and looks back on more than 40 years of success. Goebel was able to support the partnership program for the preservation of our environment with almost € 200,000.
The whinchat was chosen as bird of the year for 2023 and Goebel has immortalized the little long-distance migrant in enchanting figures.
