Wassily Kandinsky, born in 1866 in Moscow, was a Russian painter and art theorist, regarded as a pioneer of abstract art. He explored colors and the connection between painting and music. Together with Franz Marc, he co-founded "Der Blaue Reiter" and taught at the Bauhaus. His works are held in museums such as the Guggenheim and the Louvre.
