The art of pottery is one of the oldest and most fascinating cultural techniques of human mankind. The manufacturing processes have hardly changed over millennia. Very few tools are still necessary for processing. The natural material is shaped by hand, kneaded, freely sculpted, or spun on the potter's wheel. The result is always unique, bearing the individual signature of its creator. The small series were created in a collaboration between Goebel and a Thai pottery. They play with the originality of the material and dare transformation always balancing between old and new - a captivating trend far from industrially manufactured monotony.
